Andy Rogers & A Perfect Stone

My plans for world domination are coming to fruition!

'A Perfect Stone' is a concept I have been developing in my 'secret lab' for a few years and is now fit for public consumption and ready for world domination!

It's a band that creates Ethno-Celt Worship.

What on earth is that I hear you ask?

It's Christian worship flavoured with an eclectic fusion of various indigineous, celtic and contemporary sounds. Most of us are from Ireland or Scotland hence the tinge of Celtic influence and energy.

Our line up varies depending on gig or session but commonly includes: Djembe, Bodhran, Cello, Violin, Guitars and Vox. It's not uncommon to also hear Didgeridoo, Keyboards and lots of percussion stuff that shakes, rattles, tinkles, scratches and more.

'A Perfect Stone' is a pool of talented musicians who are passionate about the music they have been gifted with. Some are full-time professionals some are 'musos' with day jobs, but the important thing is we want to take you to the 'secret place of praise' (as Kevin Prosch puts it) with our music.

Wanna here what it sounds like? Great -I have 2 FREE songs for you to download.

Simply submit your first name & email address in the form below and I'll email you the link to claim your downloads.

If you're curious about why the 'Ethno-Celt' inspiration is so important to us then join our mailing list and I'll fill you in with the details from the closing chapters of the world's best ever selling book!

Cheers - Andy
P.S. I'll also tell you about the day on the beach with my daughters that spawned the name 'A Perfect Stone'

Global Day of Prayer

Note from me (Andy). Just wanted to publish this email from Ian Hannah about Engage worship events

This time last year many of us here in Northern Ireland were gearing up for the Global Day of Prayer event which happened at Stormont on 15th May. It was an amazing day!!

During that day we prayed a lot about the Assembly, which was "out of action" (so to speak!!).

I don't know if you realise but, we prayed at Stormont, about the NI government, on 15th May 2005, and the Assembly is due to reconvene this coming Monday - 15th May 2006!! Perhaps, therefore, it's no coincidence that this year's Global Day of Prayer event is scheduled just a few weeks later - 4th June. I thought that was all quite interesting.

For more info on GDOP check out www.transformations-ireland.org or email info@transformations-ireland.org .

Engage (www.engage24.net), of course, recommenced 2 weeks ago, and there is a real freshness about things right now. Last night's 4 hour watch had 3 very different expressions of worship and prayer going on. Part of the journey we feel God leading us on right now is about making Engage as accessible as possible, without losing sight of what we feel called to do. Let me encourage you to try and make a fixed point in your diary and come, even for an hour a month. There are now a wide variety of expressions and if you'd like to know more, please get in touch.

GODFREY BIRTILL

Godfrey will be joining us for Engage on 26th May. The plan is that he will do some teaching and then lead some worship. It would be great to see as many of the Engage regulars as possible, so please try and come if you can.

Then on the Saturday (27th) he will be doing a concert in St Pats, and we will also be focusing on the Global Day of Prayer, which will be the next week. I am told that when Godfrey was in Belfast recently, they had an amazing time. So let's not miss out on this opportunity we have on our doorsteps in Coleraine.

MEN'S PRAYER

Because of Godfrey's visit, we have decided to move the men's prayer hour to NEXT WEEK (19th). OK - MEN!!! This is a really good chance to come together and pray for each other, and for men with our community. The session will be 9 - 10pm. Please invite everyone male you can find. Wouldn't it be amazing if we filled the building with blokes!!!! Sorry women, it's out of bounds for you. This isn't a sexist thing or anything. if you'd like a session for women then we can sort that out. I can't organise it, though - for obvious reasons!!!!

In the light of events in Ballymena recently, we really need to pray!!!! That can't be emphasised enough. It's easy to allow busyness to dictate what we do. The emeny doesn't need to do very much to disable to church - he just makes it "too busy"!! Why not take some time out this week to pray for all the families involved with that incident. Why not take an hour to come the Engage on Friday and pray for families everywhere!

God bless

Ian
